We have two unusual guests staying with us this weekend, Max & Poppy who are a couple of very friendly Prairie Dogs. They have been out in our kitchen today having some playtime and investigating. During this time we gave their house a clean and it was obviously not to their liking as quite soon after going back into their cage it was all totally re arranged. They do have a large exercise ball but have managed to work out how to escape from this and it has to be duct taped closed. We decided it would be quite nice for them to come out together and they did enjoyed their time in the kitchen. They eat a diet very similar to rabbits i.e. lots of hay and a small quantity of mix daily. They also enjoy a small piece of carrot and love having the backs of their necks scratched.
