Oscar is back with us for a long weekend and he is a sensible bun and has already booked his summer holidays with us. Oscar has been playing outside today and loves the tunnel we gave him. He is just such a friendly bun and loves attention.

Missi & Fudge
Wallace & Gromit
Here are our latest addition to the bunny camp although of course not bunnies. They are six weeks old and very cute. We took a photo of them last night relaxing on Chris' fleece and they do look quite content.
"The Kids" enjoying their Tea
Here are our two largest guests, Barry & Sophie tucking into their tea, both are very relaxed and have enjoyed sunbathing on their carpets and just generally letting the world go by. Bringing them back into the house is quite a task as both weigh nearly 7 kg. Chris is managing ok but is building up his muscles.

Charlie & April Off Home Tomorrow
Both these cute little buns are off home tomorrow and we shall miss their furries faces. They have had lots of playtime outside as we have had quite a bit of sunshine. Charlie has no front teeth so has to have all his food chopped and with us having a bunny of our own in a similar situation we decided to invest in a mini chopper and both Charlie and Tallulah, our own bun, are very impressed with the new chopped veg and have cleared their bowls. A message for Charlie's Bunny Mom and we would stress this is nothing urgent and nothing to worry about but please would she contact us before collecting them. Thank you.
Barry & Sophie Chilling
Both Barry & Sophie decided to have a nap after breakfast this morning. We mentioned something about exercise and going out for some fresh air but a blink of his eye and a snuggle back down was enough for us to know not to disturb them. Maybe after lunch would be a better time!

Tubbs & Honeysuckle
Here are two of our smaller guests who have been enjoying the sunshine today and munching lots of grass. Here they are having their tea and both are tucking in well. The two characters in the background are two of our rabbits, Abigail and Freddie who seem intent on getting in the photo.
Barry & Sophie our rather large Guests !
Barry & Sophie arrived today and are referred to as "the kids" both are two very much loved bunnies. They are certainly beautiful and of course being frenchies one of my favourite buns. They have settled in very well and are having a short spell out on the patio to stretch their legs before bedtime. Their Bunny Mom was quite nervous about leaving them with us so we have taken quite a few photos of them to assure her they are really fine and certainly going to enjoy their holiday with us.

Valentino RIP
Valentino R.I.P.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Joey
This relaxed young man is Joey, a Rex rabbit, and he has the most soft velvety fur. He is very friendly and loves to spend time out in the run in the garden.
We have no need to chase him to get him back in, as he just comes up to us as he is so friendly. We are very lucky at the moment with the nature of the bunnies staying with us, as they all seem to be a lovely group.
Cookie
Here is Cookie, a female mini-lop rabbit. She is extremely friendly and quite a cute little thing. She has loved going out in the garden in the run, where we have given her a tunnel, which she loves to play with.
Charlie & April Tuck In
Charlie and April are two little mini-lop rabbits who are still quite young. Charlie, the grey chinchilla, has dental problems so we have to chop up his vegetables so that he can eat them. They are lovely rabbits and very friendly.
During the day they have been spending a lot of their time out in a run in the garden, where they love spending time exploring and playing.

Jack & Jill
These two shiny black rabbits are Jack & Jill. They have boarded with us on several occasions. Jill has recently had some dental work done but seems to have recovered well. She has no trouble eating her dry food, but has to have her vegetables chopped small.
They are loving the warmer weather and spend most of their time outside of their hutch in the attached run.

What Big Feet you have Bigwig
Bigwig has also been out today and enjoying the sunshine. He just likes to relax and chill and here is a photo of Chris carrying him in after his day outside. As you can see he has the most enormous feet and looks quite comfortable and happy to be carried in. Bigwig going home tomorrow and we shall miss his furry face, he normally lives free range in his owners kitchen, although has adapted very well to cage life and time out side in our large 8ft x 4 ft run. Frenchies are generally quite lazy by nature, we should know, we have two of them, namely Valentino and Simba but they are certainly the most cuddlesome of bunnies.
Marmite Playtime
Here is Marmite enjoying some time out in a run today, he had a great time and really loved the tunnel. Marmite is a very friendly rabbit and is happy to be picked up and stroked. He is jet black and reminds us of our rabbit Blackberry, who gave us the inspiration for name of Blackberry Boarding.

Charlie & April Say Hi
Both Charlie & April say Hi to their Bunny Mom who is away on holiday and will be missing them very much, we thought these pics were quite cute so thought we would add them to the blog.
Dunky
Here is Dunky who is with us for a long weekend, she also had some time out side in the sun today and although she is quite a shy bun she spent quite a bit of time investigating on our patio area.
Charile & April
We have two very cute little mini lops staying with us, both Charlie & April have settled very well and here are a few pics of them playing out in the run. Both were convinced they could escape by getting on top of the cardboard box and at one point April did actually jump out and we had to quickly capture her and return her to the play run. Little Charlie has no front teeth and he has to have some of his food cut up or grated but he certainly manages to scoff his Science Select food and has no problem getting his share.
Alfie Enjoys Some Time in the Garden
ALFIE |
GRACE |
LILY |
We have two sweet girlie pigs staying and today they spent some time in a run in the garden and next door Alfie also had some time in the garden. All the piggies spent the afternoon nibbling grass and chatting to one another. Lily and Grace are just one year old and normally live in the house but they do love to have time out in the sunshine. Alfie also lives indoors but he had fun jumping around and was very excited to be next to the girls.

Oscar's Playtime
Here is Oscar, who definitely made full use of his time out in a run this afternoon. As you can see, he loves playing with the cardboard box and managed to find lots of inventive ways in which to use it.
He is an extremely friendly little chap and we have certainly enjoyed watching him play.
